About the King’s Entrepreneurship Lab

The Lab, an initiative of King’s College Cambridge, runs a portfolio of activities to equip students with entrepreneurial skills, and supports those wishing to explore a career path in innovation, entrepreneurship and business. Lab activities cover both commercial and social venturing, with an emphasis on developing sustainable and ethical projects having a positive social and environmental impact.

One core part of the portfolio is the extra-curricular 1-Year Programme, designed for students studying any non-business subject (ie not MBAs etc), and for all levels from undergrad to postdocs.

See a simplified outline of the Lab’s ecosystem:

“King’s has always been celebrated for a willingness to break new ground. Now more than ever fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise is tremendously important. This initiative is inspired by the spirit of many great King’s alumni of the past (including Sir Charles Inglis, John Maynard Keynes and Phil Vincent), and current successful alumni entrepreneurs (such as Hermann Hauser, Penny Herscher and Sheelpa Patel). I hope that the Entrepreneurship Lab will help and encourage a diverse set of students to further develop their entrepreneurial mindset, and become an exciting new part of King’s life.”

— Malcolm McKenzie, Chair of the Senior Advisory Board
