(Re)introducing the Africa Founders Webinar Series: Cracking the Code, Digitising Real Estate in an Analogue Economy

The Africa Founders Webinar Series (AFWS) is back!

Following on from last year’s hit series, these sessions will connect the Cambridge community with African founders building high-impact ventures across the continent to discuss venture creation, leadership, failure, ethics, and scaling in African contexts.

The first webinar of 2026, ‘Cracking the Code: Digitising Real Estate in an Analog Economy’ is next Wednesday (18 Feb) at 5pm and will be co-hosted by your very own Damilola Oyeyemi.

For this session, join us as we explore how a bold PropTech start-up is rewriting the rules of real estate in one of Africa’s most capital-intensive and analogue sectors.

Speaker Bios:

Uba Nnamdi, CEO & Co-Founder of Sytemap, is building one of Africa’s most ambitious PropTech platforms—transforming land transactions to make them simple, fast, and scam-free. Through Sytemap, he has partnered with 200+ estate developers, three government agencies, and minted over 1,100 land NFTs on the blockchain.

With a background spanning MTN, blockchain ventures, and Human-Computer Interaction at Stanford, Uba combines technical depth with operational grit. Notably, he rejected an acquisition offer from one of Nigeria’s largest banks to stay committed to Sytemap’s long-term vision.

This conversation will unpack:

  • Tackling land fraud with blockchain

  • Building trust in low-trust markets

  • Government partnerships in emerging ecosystems

  • The realities of scaling PropTech in Africa

Moderator: Damilola Oyeyemi, studying for an MPhil in Public Policy at Cambridge, is founder of Craftdemy and a public policy leader focused on youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and sustainable enterprise models. Her work sits at the intersection of climate change, technology, and institutional reform.
