Build with Momen: Tech Stack Workshop
About Momen: Momen is a no-code full-stack web app development platform that aims to help non-technical founders to build and scale their MVP. It handles frontend (the UI) and backend (workflows and database), and it handles hosting. Within Momen's backend, you can build fully-fledged Agentic workflows utilizing various Large Language Models such as GPT-5 and Gemini 2.5. Its also has built-in support for permission control and monetization (Stripe). Momen's backend can be used standalone, and it has react code component support for the frontend, making it integratable with vibe coding tools like cursor and lovable.
Background: Momen was started by a group of engineers in 2019. Initially, they were frustrated by the repetitive nature of building CRUD operations, integrating APIs, and writing boilerplate CSS. They thought to themselves, there must be a better way. Hence the birth of Momen. The journey began as a no-code mini program builder in partnership with a major platform. Within two years, they acquired over 130,000 users and launched 3,000 projects. In 2022, they broadened our reach to the web. Now they’re serving users worldwide, powered by AWS (Amazon Web Services). They’re backed by Sequoia, MiraclePlus and Linear Capital.
About the speaker: Yaokai Jiang is the CEO of momen, and Cambridge (Fitzwilliam) CompSci alumnus.
About the workshop: The workshop introduces Momen, explains where it fits in the development stack, and eventually will produce a fully functioning full-stack prototype with AI and payment integrated. We will be using Momen.app as well as Cursor.
About the workshop series: Tech Stack Workshops is a biweekly initiative that familiarises founders of all stages with available tools and resources that can enable or accelerate their venture building. More information is available here.
