Launch of the Cambridge Digital Innovation and Regulation Initiative (C:\>DIR)
Join us on the afternoon of the 8th of December for the global launch of the Cambridge Digital Innovation and Regulation Initiative (C:\>DIR) - a new global policy convening platform bringing together policymakers, regulators and innovation leaders to help shape the future of digital regulation.
C:\>DIR fosters high-level dialogue on issues at the intersection of digital innovation and regulation between policymakers, regulators and market innovators. It aims to cultivate collaborative communities and public-private partnerships to develop common solutions and shape the future of digital markets and economies, for the benefit of the many.
Led by Financial Innovation for Impact (Fii) and Networks for Humanity, in collaboration with the E-Lab, the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, the Centre for Science and Policy and the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development, the initiative will act across three interconnected dimensions:
Reimagining digital regulation as technology transforms markets.
Catalysing regulatory and supervisory innovation through a digital commons approach.
Facilitating cross-regulatory and cross-border collaboration.
On the 8th, the launch webinar will feature C:\>DIR’s incoming Co-Convenors:
Agustín Carstens (Former General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements)
Gillian Tett (Provost at King's College, Cambridge, and member of the Financial Times editorial board).
Special Speaker:
Ashley Alder (Chair of the FCA and former Chair of IOSCO)
C:\>DIR Co-Creators:
Bryan Zhang (Co-Founder and Executive Director of the CCAF) and
Siddharth Shetty (Co-Founder of NFH and CEO of the Finternet)
