What?

Pitch@King’s offers you the opportunity to practice your pitching skills with support from across the E-Lab.

Across Michaelmas and Lent terms, participants will have the chance not only to practice a short pitch for their venture (at any stage of development) in front of a live audience, but also to progress through newly introduced knockout rounds. This year, we’re adding a competitive edge to enhance your pitching experience and help you build confidence.

Each session offers constructive feedback from our E-Lab community, including Visiting Entrepreneurs, mentors, and Research Associates, who bring industry insight and practical expertise. The knockout format will give team and solo founders the chance to refine their pitch across multiple rounds, compete for a place in the Pitch@King’s Finals in Lent term, and gain exposure within the entrepreneurial ecosystem at King’s.

This is a supportive yet challenging environment designed to mirror real venture development and investment scenarios—perfect for those looking to test ideas, attract collaborators, or simply boost their presentation skills.

For Who?

We welcome entrepreneurs from all disciplines and at all stages, from early ideas to fully formed ventures.

Where?

Audit Room, King’s College.

What is the structure?

Last year, Pitch@King’s ran once per term as a friendly platform to share ideas, with a small sponsored prize in the third term. This year, we’re taking things to the next level.

Across Michaelmas and Lent terms, teams and solo founders will pitch their ventures. After each term’s pitching session, three standout ventures will be selected as favourites. These six finalists will go on to compete in a showcase just before Easter term, where they will pitch to members of our SAB and a panel of esteemed judges in a showcase on the 22nd of April, just before Easter term.

Is there a prize?

Yes! We have a prize pot of £6000 to be divided up between the winners!
