Code of Conduct

Behaviour Expectations for those attending dinners, meetings, conferences, training or other events

  • Respect: You should be respectful, considerate and treat everyone with dignity.

  • Avoid harassment: You should not engage in demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour, including harassment of a sexual nature.

  • Follow rules: You should follow all rules for the event and venue.

  • Be mindful: You should be aware of your surroundings and other participants, attendees, College members and any other guests of the College.

  • Report issues: You should alert your event organiser if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress or have a cause for concern.

  • Safety: You should take care of your own safety and ensure the safety of others.

  • Avoid tampering: You should not adjust or tamper with any equipment without permission.

  • Avoid restricted areas: You should not enter restricted areas unless you have been given explicit authorisation.

  • Alcohol: You should only consume alcohol when permitted and be responsible.

  • Dispute resolution: You should contact your event organiser if you have a dispute.

  • Listen to others: You should ensure that the views of all are heard and understood.

  • Confidentiality: Confidential matters should not be discussed outside of the event.

  • Illegal Activity: You must not participate in any illegal activity or collude with other participants/attendees to turn a blind eye to illegal activities whilst on the premises.
