Build with Groq: Tech Stack Workshop
About Groq: Groq API gives developers access to specialised hardware optimised for ultra-low latency and high-speed inference with large language models (LLMs). The exceptional speed comes from Groq's custom-built Language Processing Unit (LPU)—a chip designed specifically for AI inference, unlike general-purpose GPUs.
Background: Founded in 2016, the company created the LPU and GroqCloud to make compute faster and more affordable. Today, Groq is trusted by over two million developers and Fortune 500 companies for fast, affordable compute. The company is expanding globally, building on existing data centers in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. In their most recent fundriase (September 2025), Groq raised $750 million at a post-money valuation of $6.9 billion.
About the speaker: TBC
About the workshop: The workshop introduces Groq, explains where it’s most useful, and shows how it works through a live build. You’ll also learn what’s the most cost-efficient way to access the tool and discover community resources to help you get started. The session allows for a live Q&A, giving you the chance to ask the speaker your own questions.
About the workshop series: Tech Stack Workshops is a biweekly initiative that familiarises founders of all stages with available tools and resources that can enable or accelerate their venture building. More information is available here.
