The Digital Energy Grid Hackathon

Join us at the Digital Energy Grid Hackathon: An open innovation challenge to rethink how the UK’s energy system connects, balances, and scales for the future.

The UK’s energy system is going digital, decentralised, and decarbonised — but this transformation is exposing new coordination challenges. Balancing the grid is getting harder.

This is where you come in! Be part of a four-day agentic innovation sprint to build the tools, ideas, and architectures that will power the grid’s next phase — open, intelligent, and truly connected. For more details and to register click here!

The Digital Energy Grid Hackathon is organised in collaboration with Beckn Labs, the Innovation Hub for Prosperity at the Cambridge Judge Business School, and the University of Cambridge climaTRACES Lab.

A big thank you to our community partners: Google Developer Student Club Imperial College London, Imperial AI Group, and Imperial Blockchain & FinTech, for making this hackathon possible.

On the 28th of November, at the Digital Energy Grid Summit: Building the Future of Energy held King’s College, Cambridge, we will have a live demo showcase by the winner of the Hackathon.

WHEN: 9.00 AM 22nd November - 6.00 PM 25th November 2025

WHERE: Scale Space, Imperial College, South Kensington, London
