Speakers

Michael Hund is an award winning medical research CEO with more than 20 years of experience in innovative business models like venture philanthropy, impact investing and medtech entrepreneurship to deliver treatment approvals for rare disease communities. His work and leadership has been highlighted by MIT, Yale, Harvard, Stanford, Forbes, and the Milken Institute. 

Nektarios (Aris) Oraiopoulos is a Professor of Operations and Technology Management at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. His research on innovation and R&D management has appeared in the leading journals of the field. He has won multiple awards and has been invited to present at both academic and industry conferences. In addition to his academic work, he has advised entrepreneurial start-ups and has worked closely on research projects with numerous executives from the biopharmaceutical industry.


Moderator

Liza Olivier is currently pursuing the Executive Master of Accounting (EMACC) at Cambridge Judge Business School. Earlier this year, she and a team of fellow EMACC candidates undertook a consulting engagement with the EB Research Partnership (EBRP), offering valuation support and strategic recommendations to help scale EBRP’s innovative venture philanthropy model to other rare diseases. This experience sparked a growing interest in the intersection of finance, innovation, and philanthropy.

Professionally, Liza brings experience leading cross-regional financial reporting initiatives and fostering collaboration across disciplines to support strategic decision-making and performance. As a moderator, she draws on her curiosity, clarity of thought, and collaborative approach to guide meaningful conversations.
