Networking Evening with Cambridge Tech Week
As part of Cambridge Tech Week Fringe, King’s Entrepreneurship Lab invites founders, researchers, investors, students and industry leaders to an evening of meaningful conversation within King’s College Cambridge hosted by Provost Gillian Tett.
Please note that this event will now be taking place in the Provost’s Drawing Room and Garden, rather than the Fellows Gardens as previously advertised. Please arrive at the King’s College Porter’s Lodge and you will be directed from there.
Dr Gillian Tett became the 45th Provost of King's in October 2023, succeeding Professor Michael Proctor. She studied anthropology at Clare College before becoming a journalist, editor and columnist in a career spanning 30 years at the Financial Times. She remains a member of the FT Editorial Board. Gillian is the author of Anthrovision and The Silo Effect, both of which look at the global economy and financial system through the lens of cultural anthropology. She also authored Fool’s Gold: How Unrestrained Greed Corrupted a Dream, Shattered Global Markets and Unleashed a Catastrophe, a 2009 New York Times bestseller and Financial Book of the Year at the inaugural Spear’s Book Awards.
Rather than another conference session, this reception is designed to encourage genuine connections across disciplines and sectors. Guests will have the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs developing breakthrough technologies, researchers translating world-leading science into impact, investors supporting innovation, and members of the wider Cambridge ecosystem.
Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy informal networking alongside light refreshments in one of Cambridge’s most iconic settings.
Whether you are building a startup, investing in frontier technologies, exploring commercialisation opportunities or simply looking to connect with the Cambridge innovation community, this event offers a welcoming environment to begin new conversations.
Hosted by King’s Entrepreneurship Lab, the evening celebrates the collaborative spirit that makes Cambridge one of the world’s leading innovation ecosystems.
Admission is free, however registration is essential due to limited capacity.
