The Eighth Conference on the Econometric Models of Climate Change (EMCC VIII)

The Eighth Conference on the Econometric Models of Climate Change (EMCC VIII)

The Eighth Conference on the Econometric Models of Climate Change (EMCC VIII) will take place at King’s College, University of Cambridge on 16-17 August, 2024, and is organised in collaboration with the Janeway Institute and the Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF) at the Cambridge Judge Business School.

The Conference on Econometric Models of Climate Change, established in 2016, continues its annual tradition of promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in the study of climate change. This year, we seek paper submissions that employ new econometric and statistical methods within climate change models, analysing climate data, climate impacts, biodiversity loss, climate migration, and related subjects. You can find previous editions of the conference here.

Call for Papers:
Submissions should focus on the application of econometric and statistical techniques to climate data analysis and the estimation of climate change's socio-economic and financial effects, alongside considerations for policy evaluation. Papers that present challenges in climate science, where statistical methods provide analytical insights, are especially welcome.

Submission:
Please submit the title and extended abstract (or completed paper), before May 15, 2024 using the form here.
