Warren A. East CBE FRS FREng FIET FBCS is the chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce Holdings, a leading UK-based engine manufacturer. He was previously a CEO at ARM Holdings and held other senior positions at ARM and Texas Instruments.

WHAT’S UP:
Warrent will deliver a short presentation on “Making the impossible possible” during which he will share his experience as CEO, both of ARM and Rolls-Royce plc. Then he will talk about the imminent challenge (and mostly opportunity!) of the transition to Net Zero and Rolls-Royce response to it.
Later during a fireside chat, we will explore his reflections on business and as well as his personal journey as a leader of technology companies.
And as always, you will have a chance to ask questions!
SPEAKERS’ BIO:
In July 2015, Warren East became Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce succeeding John Rishton. He was appointed a Non-Executive Director in 2014 and served as Chairman of the Scienge and Technology Committee, as well as being a member of the Audit Committee and Nominations and Governance Committee Warren is a member of the Supervisory Board of ASML. He is a Chartered Engineer, educated at Oxford and Canfield Universities. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Distinguished Fellow of the BCS. In May 2017, Warren was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Warren worked for ARM Holdings plc and was CEO from 2001-2013. He has also served as a Non-Executive Director on several boards of Engineering and Technology companies. In 2007, Warren was named Business Leader of the year at the National Business Awards and was named in Barron's list of the world's best 30 CEOs in 2011 and 2013. He was made CBE in the 2014 New Year Honours list for services to Engineering and Technology.
