The 4 key innovations and role of EU companies in global competition.

Entrepreneurship, innovation and how can EU companies obtain an advantage in comparison to the US and China and “4 key innovations” (AI and ML, Smart Contracts and Blockchain, Synthetic Biology, and Quantum Computing) – how do they work and their impact on the world.

About the speaker:

Dr Hermann Hauser, KBE (KC alumni and Honorary Fellow) is successful entrepreneur and venture capitalist, currently serving as a venture partner at Amadeus Capital Partners, which he co-founded in 1997. Hermann has founded or co-founded companies in a wide range of technology sectors. These include Acorn Computers (where he helped spin out ARM), Active Book Company, Virata, Net Products, NetChannel and Cambridge Network. He was a founder director of IQ (Bio), IXI Limited, Vocalis, SynGenix, Advanced Displays Limited, acquired by Cambridge Display Technology, Electronic Share Information Limited, E*Trade UK and has supported many other start-ups. Dr Hauser kindly agreed to give the inaugural talk and will join us virtually.
